How to Choose the RIGHT sized Dog Bed for your Best Friend: Here are some quick tips you can use when trying to size a Woof-a-pedic dog bed. The first and foremost rule... if you are unsure, always go one size larger if possible.
Small Dogs: Typically any dog less than 25 lbs. that has a standing height at the shoulders of less than 15 inches. These breeds include most Terriers, Dachshunds, Lhasa Apso, small Poodles, Miniature Schnauzer, Pug, Shih Tzu, Maltese, Whippet and others.
Medium Dogs: Medium dogs have a standing height at the shoulders from 15-21 inches and weigh 30-80 lbs. Breeds include Australian cattle dog, Cocker Spaniel and Bulldogs.
Large Dogs: Large dogs stand 21-26 inches at the shoulders and weigh 80-120 lbs. Breeds include Golden Retrievers, Doberman Pinscher, English Setter, Siberian husky and Dalmatians.
Extra Large Dogs: Stand over 26 inches at the shoulders and weigh at least 90 lbs. Note that the large Woof-A-Pedic does not usually fit this size.
